Mohamed Ashiq, a networking and tech-industry veteran, met Mahalingam, the Founder of Netcon Technologies in 2007. When their solidarity grew, it strengthened their relationship and they decided together to take the company to the next level. Ashiq, then stepped in as the Chief Strategy Officer before becoming the CEO and one of the company’s board of directors in 2019. Under his leadership, Netcon quadrupled its size, growing from a 5 to a 20-million-dollar business and entered the global market. Ashiq’s business and strategic initiatives in the leadership forum are highly commendable.

Prior to joining Netcon, Ashiq earned an Engineering degree from NIT, Rourkela. He started his career in Sales and Business Development with organizations like HCL Infosystems and Tata Telcom. In 2006, when he was working in Bahrain, he accepted the offer by Extreme Networks. He came back to India and held different managerial positions in sales, marketing, distribution, and partnerships. After 8 years, he became the Regional Director for India & SAARC and held the position for 3 years. During this period, he also invested in eCommerce applications start-ups like Nexmoo solution and Qikonnect.
