Ido Aharoni Aronoff founded the Brand Israel program in 2002 in New York and served as his
country’s first Brand Manager from 2007-2010. The Brand Israel Program is a research-based
empirical strategy that is designed to highlight the country’s relative advantages.
Aharoni is a well-known public diplomacy and branding specialist who has advised
multinational companies, such as APCO Worldwide, MasterCard and the Libra Group, as well as
US-based and Israel-based corporations.
Aharoni is a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University and has taught about
place branding and the technological disruption to diplomacy at New York University and Tel
Aviv University.
